  We enjoyed Chania and the hotel very much. We live in Crete (East) but have not been to Chania before and we found the old port to be very beautiful. We loved the design of the hotel and the position for walking out and about the town. We were staying overnight before flying from Chania airport for the 1st time and we did not realise the tow - Located a block from the harbor and right in the heart of Old Town Chania, Palazzo Duca is perfect! It is a fancy place--beautiful, clean, and polished. Every staff member is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our hotel room was a palace! Very comfortable king size bed, sitting area with table and chairs, patio with view of harbor with table and chairs, a kitchenette in the room stocked with dishes, utensils, cooking pans plus refrigerator. The bathroom was lovely with a heavenly large shower.

  The staff was extremely nice. They booked a taxi to the airport for us for a very good price and they recommended us good restaurants and places to visit. The location of the hotel is also perfect, close to the city center but far away from the noise.   I have discovered Chania to be a beautiful city, with old town streets to explore, myriad shops and restaurants around a charming harbour. I have also discovered this to be a jewel of a hotel residing about ten metres away from the harbour front. The Belmondo hotel is small and personal, each room is different, all had character, felt like a rare luxury in the perfect loca - The staff without exception could not do enough to make our stay perfect. Our room was not what I expected and I was told they were fully booked. After 3 nights I checked on letsbookhotel.com and discovered they had a suite available and we were moved. I think it was a misunderstanding and they very kindly did not charge us for the upgrade. I would highly recommend an upgrade to a 'suite' a large room with two sofas.   We loved Alcanea Boutique hotel! The room was spacious and almost as big as our entire house with beautiful views over Chania's port. Really friendly, caring and lovely staff. It is a shame we only spend one night. Our daughter had a great time. It was in the middle of Chania's old centre. Everything in walking distance. Absolutely recommended. - Could not have asked for more in a hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful with plenty of great recommendations. The location of the hotel was great, still close to the port but just away from all the noise that comes from the restaurants. The rooms were comfortable and designed individually, a bit like a home away from home. Each room also has a lovely view. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chania.
