This is the second year we have stayed at Porte Rouge. It is just 5 minutes from the centre of Niort, which is lovely, and yet very peaceful and calm. -

Good location, easy to find. Plenty of parking which is free and away from view of main road- ideal as we were on route to a campsite with lots of equipment in the car. Good value and clean functional rooms with wi-fi too. Everything you need for an overnight stop or two and excellent value for money -

Nice,quiet hotel situated near to motorway.Room was nice and the bed was very comfortable.Manager helpful and friendly.Used on stopover to channel tunnel.Will use again on our return. -
it was only an overnight stop on the way to the Dordogne but it was comfortable and served the purpose

Delightful welcome from very attentive staff. The receptionist on duty when I arrived was lovely and she was at pains to show all that the hotel and town had to offer.
Room very clean, comfortable and quiet.

This is the nicest Premiere Classe Hotel we have stayed in. It is fairly new and did NOT stink from cigarette smoke. There was adequate light and the room was very comfortable and the air conditioning WORKED. Internet worked very well; on-site parking was great; and it wasn't too difficult to find the hotel. We would definitely stay here again

Beautiful hotel, very well designed, quiet & relaxing. Breakfast was very good with an excellent coffee maker. Plenty of quiet corners to sit secluded if necessary. Very good bed, roomy shower. Good basic restaurant at walking distance.

Helpful staff,even though we spoke very little French they managed to understand us. Fantastic location for shops restaurants bars and train station . 55 kilometres to La Rochelle so easy to drive to beach . We booked for three nights but stayed for seven because of the central location an standard of the hotel . -
