Excellent value at the Hotel Montmorency but great bonus to be able to use the facilities of the Hotel Du Chateau. Very clean, modern hotel - room a little small and a slightly strange shape but suited our purposes. Nice to have a pool. Staff quiet but helpful when asked. The best thing was the location - just a few minutes walk from the wonderful medieval city complex. -

The location was perfect. Very close to the castle.
The access is very good to go walking. Not recomended to go to the castle with the baby trolley but this has nothing to do with the hotel/appartment.

Visited in May by car. The reception staff was genuinely warm and helpful. Request a room with a view of Carcassonne. At night the fortress is bathed in soft light. The staff were extremely friendly and courteous. The bedroom on the first floor looked out on the Old City & the view was stupendous day or night. The swimming pool was faultless and a sun-trap for those who want it with some shaded areas. The hotel was very close to the Old City and a five minute walk away. The city of Carcassonne was a twenty minute walk into town and the car was not required after arrival.

The accommodation was perfect for our purposes - a comfortable, clean, convenient, modern place to stop over whilst touristing! Our second visit. We recommend it without hesitation!

The Manager and staff were polite, helpful and friendly. I left my PC charger in the room and they were good even enough to post it back to me at my home address. The room was quiet and the bed comfortable. The shower room and WC were tired and really needed replacing but having said that for a stop over night it was perfectly adequate.
