Gorgeous spot, loved the view of the gorge from our room. Comfortable accomodation, excellent restaurant. Nice to swim in the permanent watering hole after a hot gorge walk. -
Basic but great atmosphere. Great food was an unexpected surprise. Fabulous sunset on the rocks opposite rooms. A great end to a day of wonderful gorge walks.

In that area there isn't much option - you either go to this one or pay times and times more... and since I don't see the point of paying that much money for just spending the night there, I'd very much recommend this place! I got just got there after close time, but managed to meet up with nig, who organised me into their last room.
He was most helpful. As well as answering some questions about the area I had.
Made sure my room was fine to go.
A very dedicated manager, you'll need to keep him, he's a gem!

The service was excellent. Seb on the front desk is a proper local who is wise in the ways of all! My door swipe card was causing me probs after a very long flight, seb cheerfully showed me how to use the swipe card. Most people wouldnt have made such an effort. Ssb gives good advice on how to enjoy Darwin more and how to organise the airport bus

As the name suggests it was a "Value Inn." It provided basic accommodation. The location was excellent being right in the centre of the CBD of Darwin. If you want cheap, reasonable accommodation then this is the hotel for you. If you are looking for four star quality, then go somewhere else.

I had a private room so it was luxurious! Great that towels were provided that was a real bonus and simple breakfast was really appreciated. I was also impressed that I was given a discount for the broken sink. Overall I was really impressed as I haven't stayed in a backpacker's lodge since the 70's!!! Yes I am 60 years young!!!!!! -

The staff were so friendly the cleaners had the place spotless fresh towels everyday, the room was spotless with a kitchen which was perfect with everything u needed provided, air con was great beds were spotless and very comfortable good tv in room the manager made us feel welcome homely and couldn't do enough for us to insure we had a great stay

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They suggested great day trips and things to do around town. The setting of the lodge, despite being right on the road, is very quiet with beautiful palm trees blocking the sounds of the street. Despite being a little out of town - 10min walk, the location is perfect for the Mindil Beach markets and sunsets, while allowing you to walk to the city and escape back to the lodge for some peace and quiet.
