It was really central to the town and the parking was $6 which is very unusual for hotel parking. We arrived early and were able to get into our room which is always good when you have travelled a distance. -

I liked the fact that we had a sizeable suite (i.e. bedroom separate lounge & kitchen) for a similar price to what others were charging just for a motel room. It was close to the CBD, even though the road was reasonably quiet. Restaurant brekky very good and great value. -

this hotel was in a great location, close enough to walk to city centre, yet far enough away from city noise. Very clean rooms. Receptionist kindly gave us a key to put our bags in room and freshen up even though our room was not quite ready. -

I have stayed at the Clarion four times and each time I have been impressed by the friendly, but professional service. The rooms are so comfortable, it is like going home. This is a wonderful apartment, especially for the two families like us. The children could play in the living room and parents could rest in our rooms. It is located at the CBD of Launceston. It is a very good location which s very close to the Visitor Centre, Boags Bewerage, variety kind of restaurants in the surroundings, etc. My family and I rented two 2-bedroom apartments on the same floor. The room are clean and tidy and with full-equipped kitchen. My family and I enjoyed the stay in Quest very much.

Lovely location on the water at Launceston. Our room overlooked the River - was very spacious and comfortable. Could easily have stayed here for a couple of weeks. Light, airey and well located with a choice of restaurants right around it. -

The location is great. Within easy walking distance to city shops, hotels and restaurants. Natalie, the receptionist was absolutely wonderful! Nothing was too much trouble and she gave us an extremely warm welcome! I had stayed there twice before in 2008. It was the first time for my 2 sisters and they were very impressed with the location, Natalie's service and the breakfast in the morning.

Staff were friendly and at the time pool was being retiled, but we were able to use the one at the casino and were offered to travel in a shuttle bus if needed. Excellent staff who went out of their way to make sure you had a great stay. Spacious rooms - simple but comfortable with cooking facilities. Lots of wild life (birds, ducks, rabbits). Bistro and Grill served delicious meals at reasonable prices. By car just 12 minutes from the airport and 6 minutes to Launceston / Cataract Gorge.

Great great value! The price is no much difference from a backpacker hostel's private room, but it is much bigger, brighter and more comfortable and delightful, abusilutaly worth the price and more. The location is also perfect, not far from the city central and just next to the beautiful city park. And they have electronic blanket that I didn't expect.

My wife and I stayed at Ashton Gate with another couple and we were all very impressed. The house is a beautiful Victorian bungalow, filled with antique furniture and ornaments, in the Victorian style and set in a magnificent garden filled with flowers. Everything was well maintained, spacious, and very comfortable.

If you like old-world charm, you should like Ashton Gate. It's spacious, nicely decorated room, with large, clean modern bathroom. Excellent breakfast in dining room; use of comfortable sitting room any time, with tea, coffee, home-made biscuits and even a nightcap from a crystal decanter if you so wish. House is well lit at night - easy to find your way in. Jennifer's suggestions for places to dine were welcome. Thank you for a wonderful Tasmanian winter stay.

Michael the chef was most accommodating and pleasant and cooked very tasty breakfasts. Janine took care of us and was most helpful and efficient.
