We loved everything about this hotel. The location is ideal. The staff seem to genuinely love their jobs and it shows in their outstanding commitment to guest service. The rooms are whisper quiet. Our room was across from the lifts and we never heard them once. Bouquets to Travis for making me the best mai tai cocktails I've ever tasted. -

It was all the little extras that Travaasa did that sold me! The sandalwood soap, the quality of shampoo and rinse, the soap dish and toothbrush holder. The staff were exemplary!Always going out of their way to insure we had the best care possible!

A very friendly B&B in Pahoa, the innkeeper, Irene, was super
friendly and helpful. I was feeling ill the day I arrived from a week-
long cold, and Irene made me ginger tea immediately. I felt so much
better the next day. It's a motherly touch that a large resort
cannot replicated (which I stayed at before arriving at Lava Tree).
It's something so small as that that can change your entire vacation
and make it bettter. The home was clean and the breakfast was delicious.

It was so quaint, convenient, clean and comfortable. Just what we needed
for an anniversary. Traveled all the way from Oahu (Kailua) to finally

Enjoyed our stay but this place would not be good for everyone. No tv and being older historic building the walls were quite thin so this is probably not a good place for kids or party people. Nice continental breakfast (fresh fruit, cereal, juice & fresh baked pastries).
There is also a mini fridge & a small ice chest which they will fill with ice. Did not eat dinner at the restaurant but it was quite crowded so I am assuming it is good.

The place itself was absolutely amazing. It was very high end and well
done from the fixtures to the landscaping. The yoga was a great touch
and I loved the fact it didn't feel "Marriott" or
"Hilton" at all. It's next to Pa'ia which was a great
little hippie town with very affordable food. -

Loved the adult infinity pool and that our room was a few feet away. We had an awesome oceanfront room that was very close to the pool. The pool side staff was very friendly and service was excellent. Front desk was freindly and helpful. Maid service was good too. -

Location was great - very picturesque and away from the city centre

The staff at the hotel were so courteous and friendly, giving you that aloha spirit. The pool the kids loved so much. For me, it was home away from home. I was surprised to run into a few workers that are good friends that I knew for a long time. They were so gracious and asked if I needed anything. I would love to stay there again. -
