  The owner was absolutely delightful with incredible high standards which will become apparent during your stay. Our stay was extremely comfortable and the food was to die for! A wonderful location close to Bath city center and yet surrounded by picturesque countryside. The room was luxurious, the views glorious, the breakfast was easily the best hotel breakfast we have ever had, and most importantly the staff were incredibly warm and friendly. We will definitely be back, and I have recommended it to all our friends.

  I was very impressed with the Woolpack - it's a really nice village pub with a warm, friendly atmosphere and very good value restaurant-quality food. The room we had (superior double) was huge and had a spare bed folded away in the wardrobe. The place is tastefully decorated and clean and there's a good deal of choice on the breakfast menu. All the staff were great and nothing was to much trouble. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast very good. Loved the ambience of the place and the quiet location.

  We loved everything about the grounds of the Castle. Wonderful woodland set back behind the outdoor seating area. We loved that we could spend the day in the glorious City of Bath and then relax in a sumptuous room in a Castle! Beautiful surroundings, the staff were lovely and welcoming and made you feel at home. The food was excellent from the breakfast to the evening menu, which was all beautifully presented and tasted even better! Spent cosy evenings in front of a lovely roaring log fire, I felt really chilled after and recharged after my stay. I would definitely recommend Bath lodge Castle and will be visiting it again hopefully in the near future.

  The staff were great. They were all young and enthusiastic, there was a good energy in the place. The meals were excellent. We had breakfast included and we ate dinner there for each of our three nights, and looked forward to it. There was always a good crowd in for meals. It was good to have free parking at the hotel, and then drive a short way to the free parking at the park and ride bus exchange to see th - It was located in a quiet village, Hinton Charterhouse, approx 15minutes from Bath Spa by road. Access by local bus or taxi from Bath Spa if you don't have own vehicle. Peaceful, friendly, good food and country pub atmosphere. Access to some rooms is by stairs only. Staff very helpful to take bags up for you but if stairs is an issue you may need to ask for ground level room.

  We rented the family suite, 2 bedrooms and a bath. There were three adult women shoppers sharing the space. We tried to see every site in England. Actually we saw quite a lot from this location. It is SO close to everything. Bath, Stonehenge, Avery, Laycock, Longleat, Salisbury, and Jane Austen at Chawton. We had a wonderful time. I highly recommend the Old Parsonage - We loved everything about Old Parsonage House. We had the family suite which was perfect. Our hosts could not have been nicer (even gracious when we went out for the evening and took the wrong key!) Breakfast was superb. The village is beautiful but only a short distance from the City of Bath.
