One of the best hotels I've stayed in. I booked for a week then extended it to another week because I was satisfied with my first week there. Friendly and helpful staff. We only booked a standard double room for Sunday night (with a 1/3 off the usual rate) but on arrival we were given a free update to a suite with a fantastic sea view. The suite was enormous, newly refurbished and had everything we could possibly want. Staff were exceptionally friendly & helpful and breakfast was also really good. Overall one of the really good hotels we have stayed in anywhere in U.K. A real gem. Well done to all concerned.

I went to Whitley bay with a group of friends for a hen weekend . This hotel had everything to offer , the location is great and the staff were very friendly and could'nt do enough for us . The hotel was lovely, a nice old building with period features. The owners were lovely people who I felt would help with any request. The breakfast was lovely, homemade and lots of it. I cant really fault the hotel, basic yes, but also lovely

... o que as pessoas dizem » ark in quiet position 250 yds from blue flag beach - My room was a lovely, welcome surprise after a very long tiring journey. Really clean, bright and spacious. The facilities were perfect, the room actually has a small basic kitchen with a sink, kettle, microwave and fridge which was extremely handy and the staff were very friendly and attentive with out being intrusive. All in all I was very impressed.

there was not anything we did not like. we thouroughly enjoyed our stay,it was in good location and the owner made us feel very warm and welcomed,therefore in the near future we would like to visit again and we recommend this to both our friends and family and also anyone else wishing to visit whitley bay. - the coast was lovely

Really warm welcome, quiet location, spotlessly clean compact single room with 32" TV and DVD player, top notch shampoo and soap in bathroom. Fresh fruit bowl laid out for late night snack in dining room. Bottled water, coffee/herbal teas in room, huge breakfast with veggie fry up option, fresh fruit, yoghurt, pastries, fruit juice, cereals, proper cafetiere strong coffee.
I love it when you go to a place that doesn't cut corners. everything's carefully figured out to make you stay comfortable
