The nicest place we have stayed where dogs are truly welcome. Our stay was very relaxing and not over priced and your staff were chatty and very welcoming. This hotel never stops amazing me. I can not describe how brilliant the hotel is. We got married at the hotel a few years ago & returned to celebrate our anniversay. The hotel upgraded us to the honeymoon suite without us asking. They greeted us as we checked out and wished us "a happy anniversary" Its service that you rarely see anymore and just makes our memories go on & on. Thank you for treating us as 5* guests and making an amazing stay.

Can't fault the food, good honest home cooked food, extraemly good sized portions and very well cooked, not the usual "fine dining " served up in country inns, which is why we booked up at the pheasent, the mixed grill is a must!! not silly pots with drizzel on the plates but a good well presented dish.. well done!!

Stayed one night at the end of walking the Viking Way. We were in the stable block out the back of the main hotel. The room was spacious, quiet and clean, if a little aged. The hotel, bar and restaurant staff were all friendly, efficient and helpful. Ate in the hotel restaurant and the quality was excellent, with very reasonable prices. Breakfast was cooked to order.

High standard of service from everyone. The lack of formality and appreciation that we were straying there. Quality and variety of food was excellent from breakfast through afternoon tea and dinner.
