The accommodation was spacious clean and with remarkable views. The
location was perfect for what we wanted. The breakfast provisions and
the complimentary wine were an added bonus. The staff could not have
been more helpful. The free parking and the excellent location meant we
could park the car when we arrived and not use it again till we left.

In Portsmouth for 3 days,location was superb within easy walking distance of the Historic Dockyard, restaurants and shops. Fantastic views from the apartment which was on the 12th floor and very modern. Car parking was very secure and free. We would definitely book this accommodation again loved it.

The receptionist, Aqua, was very friendly and polite. She made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for her. Our room was very pretty and tastefully decorated. Spacious well-lit room with nice television. Location of the hotel was ideal for the seafront (where the new parkrun on Saturday mornings will be taking place). They put on an early continental breakfast (7am) for us which was considerate. There is off-street parking but can imagine that this is tight when hotel fully-booked.

The atmosphere was formal yet relaxed, the staff were professional and prompt. The room was perfect, very clean and comfortable! - Only slept, showered and left so difficult to comment, however one ofthe cups in our bedroom was dirty, left from previous occupantpresumably.

Charming building and interior with very helpful staff that are very
willing to help. We stayed in the spa bath room which does include a
shower and it was lovely. Room was a great size and had everything we
needed. Clean and comfortable.

Overall was a very pleasant stay and would recommend it to anyone wanting a nice warm welcome with a great room. -
Good value for money comfortable rooms nicely furnished and for the price everything I would expect. We have been to this group once before and will certainly use in future when in Portsmouth visiting relatives. Will definitely try restaurant next visit as Portsmouth really needs good quality food outlets.

Staff very helpful and friendly - allowed us to park in staff car park, when the bay parking was full. Breakfast was excellent - lots of choice (toaster needs turning up though to get slightly darker toast); eggs were poached to perfection.

It was just ideal for our stay, mum n I hadn't been Portsmouth in a very long time, we thought the hotel was great conveniently located in the fact that was close to the places we wanted to go.
The historic dockyards n the spinnaker was fabulous n magnificent and enjoyed every minute of our stay.
Hotel was lovely n spacious, friendly staff willing to help n made u feel very welcomed. Close to where we wanted to go close to the ammenties and parking was great didn't need to travel far in the car

Very firendly reception desk, made a fuss over our dog and were keen to ensure our stay was perfect. Did not get told where the bar or dinning area were which would have been useful. Thank you to the staff at Somerset House for an outstanding contribution to hospitality in Portsmouth/Southsea. We stayed 1 night only and could find nothing to complain about; not even I, an avid watcher of 'four in a bed!' The room was delightful, breakfast was good and wholesome and my cousin wallowed for an hour and a half in his Jacuzzi bath.

Very lovely hotel. Individually decorated rooms, finished to a high standard. Warm welcome from Laura which was much appreciated following a rough crossing from Bilbao. Simple continental breakfast but good quality ingrediants offered and sufficient for us. We walked into Portsmouth along the seafront and caught a taxi back to Southsea. Had a very nice meal at Rosie's Vineyard which was a short walk from hotel. Very pleasant overnight stay.

The George was very convenient to the dockside attractions, as well as
to restaurants and shopping. I only stayed one night, but the room was
spacious, with a large comfortable bed, a very nice ensuite bathroom,
and other amenities one would expect, like tea/coffee and tv. The
decor was a charming combination of rustic and traditional (I admit I
loved the beamed ceiling!), and the large windows offered plenty of

We stayed in a superior room at the top of the house, it was really big and bright and very quiet.
The breakfast is excellent with lots of choice and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The Hotel is very close to the seafront and it is a lovely stroll along the promenade, you can walk all the way to Portsmouth old town, however Southsea centre is close by.
