  Very friendly staff and wonderful traditional pub with no fruit machines or plasma screens. Good real ales, wines, log fires and oak beams in the room which was very well appointed. Suited us very well for a wedding anniversary but would be great too for groups of friends. Setting by a river with a garden full of flowers - Lovely,quaint traditional inn set in the heart of the Suffolk countryside. Friendly staff, log fire and, although we were attending a function in nearby Hadleigh and so didn't eat there, the menu looked interesting (lots of game) and the beer was certainly good. Comfortable bed and clean room. Excellent breakfast. Peaceful location.
