Adelaide House is located just a few minutes' walk from the centre of Brighton, and so makes a perfect base for either a business trip or a short city break/overnight stop. My room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly, courteous and helpful, and the cooked breakfast was well above average. I was in Brighton on business and Adelaide House turned out to be exactly the kind of hotel I was looking for. I would definitely stay there again, and would recommend it to others. The hotel is convenient for the town and the beach, being opposite the old pier. The owners are very friendly and the breakfast was brilliant and kept us going for most of the day until tea time.
Friendliness of all staff. Breakfasts - superb, best I've ever had in any hotel. Nice touches - bathrobes, cake. Location - Regency Square is always my preferred are of Brighton.
Very friendly staff who were more than happy to accommodate our dog. Wonderful breakfast provided with plenty of choice.
Nice toiletries, clean rooms and fantastic location.
1. Room facilities very good.
2. Nice comfortable bed.
3. Breakfast is very good especially the sausages.
4. Location is good. Close to shops and restaurants.
Location is superb. Central Brighton but quiet. Room was immaculate. Hosts/staff seemed genuine/helpful people.
Really good hotel, very comfy bed, very clean, good breakfast and free cake when I arrived!.
- nice staff (young woman)
- I got gluten free breakfast
- verry good breakfast.
The Eggs at breakfast - they were perfect.
Great location.
Good location, clean enough and the breakfast was reasonable.
Rooms adequate and beds ok.
My single room was perfect for me, but some people might find it a little on the small side.
Not easy for people with mobility problems as the dining room is downstairs and all but one of the bedrooms are upstairs.
Would request room on lower floor on next stay as long trek to top floor (if top floor room was only one available though this certainly wouldn't deter me from staying again as everything else was fine).
The one thing we didn't like always the noise from outside but this is beyond the control of the staff.
1. Shower room is too tiny.
Lots of stairs, but they did warn us before booking and good exercise!.
- price.
The 73 stairs down to breakfast.
Tired out building and in need of a thorough refurbishment.Bed was not comfortable and the pillows were polyester.Shower I could hardly squeeze in to.Naff decoration taste.
Needs a complete spring clean, repaint and refurbishment.
Stained carpets, filthy room where breakfast was eaten and abrupt proprietor. Not up to a Four Star standard, more like Two Star.
It was way over priced! The walls were thin so you could hear everything
from the other rooms. When I asked if there might be another room
available, the guy was really rude, and I ended up not staying there.
The lady owner was much nicer and gave me a refund. I would have been
happier if it was half the price I paid, as I found a much nicer hotel
for half the price.
