Run by Ipekyolu Women’s Cooperative, in order to support Women and Children Centres, this stone-made, 300 years old guesthouse offers an à la carte restaurant with local delicacies and free Wi-Fi in all areas. Authentic rooms at Ipekyolu Guesthouse come with high ceilings and air conditioning. Private bathroom includes slippers, a hairdryer and a shower. Dishes from the traditional Mardin cuisine are served for lunch and dinner. Breakfast is offered either in buffet style or on a plate, depending on the occupancy. A bar with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages is available on site. Guests can relax in the courtyard or out on the terrace. There is also a souvenir shop on site where handcrafts made by local women are sold for fundraising. I liked everything. The guesthouse has fantastic location, fabulous inner garden with beautiful design. Very safe environment. Staff members are excellent people, you cannot expect better treatment. They are such a nice people, open, warm, friendly, interesting, very helpful. There, with the staff members of Ipekyolu guesthouse you get a feeling that you met wonderful people and you enriched yourself with all positive feelings, which rarely happens in everyday life. todos opiniões » I chose this guesthouse because of the beautiful flowers in the photos and the fact that it is connected to a women's cooperative. I couldn't have made a better choice. I was in Mardin to consider the possibility of pursuing dissertation research related to the local linguistic situation. The owners and staff of the guesthouse were so incredibly helpful in connecting me to people, that I can't imagine the difference had I not stayed there. Additionally, I observed that they took special care of. Centrally located refurbished old Armenian house. Great landlady and staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. Close to the museums and ancient houses. Nice view. Highly recommended for lone travelers. From the great location to the wonderful staff, this was an amazing hotel. Quite small and appears to be family run, the hotel has all the charm and history you would expect in Mardin. We loved the city and the guesthouse. We stayed for 3 days in August and they were very friendly and helpful even though English is limited. I would live to visit again!. I stayed here five wonderful days. The location is beautiful, with great terraces and a very nice view. Breakfast is delicious. And the staff very nice and helpful. Friendly staff, nice position in old Mardin. Good buffet breakfast. Big stone rooms. The unique atmosphere of an old stone building and its court and terraces. Friendly, helpful staff. Location was good, breakfast was okay. We had a noisy water heater problem, changed our room when we mentioned it quickly after one sleepless night.Friendly owners. Rooms would appear to be non smoking which is great for Turkey. two seperate bedrooms with two small bathrooms. Location was nice and staff were very friendly. Rooms also very clean. Good location , overall outside design good ,great views towards Syria. Staff very nice & helpful . I wished to stay more. Some rooms without windows. Small communication problems with the staff. Very basic room. Our rooms were right next to reception front door area so a bit noisy and unable to get to sleep until late in the night. Everything else was fine. Bathroom a real letdown no proper ventilation and bad design I could not stand upright it smelt . Poor room service no cleaning or changing of towels etc. At 150 tl expected more.
