The hotel occupies a lovely quaint and old-fashioned building in the centre of Luarca by the river, just a short walk to the sea front and 10 mins to the beach. The rooms are large and airy, with antique furniture and paintings. The building is undoubtedly worn, but there is a very welcoming, vintage feel and the breakfast area is homely and clean

We liked the personal welcome from Tomas, the owner (and Mol, his delightful dog) and his detailed and excellent guide as to where to visit and eat in the area. The high quality of the public rooms (it was like being in someone's beautiful home) and the design and furnishing of the bedroom. The view through the glass wall of the dining room and the quality of the food we ate there.
