  I had a great time at Riad d'Or. It was exactly the type of accommodation I was looking for: one representing the legendary Moroccan hospitality. This means for me good food, laid-back atmosphere, water presence, beautiful Arab decoration, smiling ladies and attentive gentlemen. They would go up from the reception till the roof - Tthe “Superior Quadruple Room” (the Pacha room if you are looking at the riad’s website) easily accommodated two married couples (one double bed and two twin beds that the staff had pushed together) in somewhat separated/private areas. The room also had a comfortable couch on which a short person or child could sleep. The common areas of this riad are among the most intricately, ornately, and opulently decorated (in a good way) of any in which I have stayed. Lots of hot water. Staff was friendl

  Beautiful hotel. Helpful staff. Excellent location very near Medina, but not in the midst of the ruckus. - It's a new riad and very pretty and unique inside. It's worth to stay there for the experience. It's right next to the medina (old town). All staff were very friendly.

Note that the housekeeper has very limited English, but my high school French was sufficient to communicate easily with her. - It's located in the Medina, but not on the busy part of it.   The location was excellent , just behind the square. With a lovely terrace with the square view. We arrived with a rented car, there was a near by public parking ( about 200 mt away ) The medinas are rather complicated, twistednarrow streets , so it can be difficult to find your way and get lost easily. We wanted to leave early to avaoid the city traffic and she was up too to prepare us - The Hotel is beautiful, clean, the bedroom and bathroom are big enough for two people. It is not easy to find, but if you call to the Riad when you arrive someone will be waiting from you in the principal street. The location is perfect, inside of the medina and you can walk to all of the principal attractions in Meknes. Meknes is beautiful, and less touristic than Fes, so that also implies that nobody will be bordering every each meter as in Fes.

It's one of the best places in terms of atmosphere that I have ever stayed. The rooms are very basic, but the view from the terrace is fantastic!   The hotel is located in the old town and we had good experience about the people in the twon. The old lady who kept the house was very friendly even though she could not speak English. Her heart was there in the job to serve. The hotel is located near a water fountain where ladies came to collect - The lady who attended us was lovely, and the view from the terrace was excelent. Really enjoyed our stay at Al Andaloussiya.
