  Evening dinner at the hotel was delicious. Beautifully presented, and a wide variety of food and well thought out meals. Just lovely. I am sure my mother and I gained 5 kilos, but it was worth it. Staff were very proper and personable. Also helpful. The gardens and lakes were beautiful, which were enhanced by the lovely weather.   Excellent hotel. Booked it from the reviews on line and I can't praise the hotel and staff enough. We paid a little extra for a room overlooking the lake and the view was well worth it. Very comfortable and the breakfast was amazing. Ferry stop to all the touristy places was right outside the hotel and there are restaurants and bars nearby. Parking is available about a 5 min walk away for a small charge. - Great location, around the corner from the lakefront promenade with its luxury hotels, including the 150 year old Grand Hotel des Iles Borromees, of Hemingway (A Farewell to Arms) fame. Very friendly and helpful staff, especially Giuseppe, who greeted us on arrival and daily with a warm smile and two-handed handshake. A short walk to everything, downtown shopping and restaurants and the ferries to the islands in the lake. Generous breakfast buffet with home-baked cakes and pastries.

  Beautiful view over Lake Como. The hotel room was well appointed and had a spectacular view up and down the Lake. The food and staff in the restaurant were of a high standard and very helpful. Front desk staff even drove us around when it started to rain.   It was very peaceful, enjoyed the views of the lake and was a great place to relax as we wanted to spend a few days without too much driving etc. The hotel has a beautiful location, views from the terrace/pool were amazing. The staff was welcoming and friendly and really went out of their way to make our stay perfect. The location was terrific - we can't wait to return!

Got the famous Room No. 4 with 3 balconies (one is in the toilet!) and able to capture the stunning view over the Barolo valley. Room is beautifully and modernly decorated. The staff were all very helpful and the rooms even though a little dated were ideal for myself.
