  The hospitality was wonderful and the food was excellent. The breakfast was sumptuous, with plenty of breads, hams, cheeses, fruit, cereal, jams, soft-boiled eggs, coffee, and orange juice. The breakfast we could not fault, a good selection for the size of the Gasthaus. Alexandria and Albert were very helpful. What we loved most was the fact you could hear the running of water in the creek nearby. So peacefu.l

  Staff spoke good English and were very friendly and attentive. We ordered an evening meal on the sun drenched balcony overlooking the valley and beautiful Forested hills. The meals were promptly served and were delicious and good value for money. The rooms were spotlessly clean and spacious. I wish we had more time to stay and enjoy the area. Breakfast was plentiful and the Evening meals were good value for money. Simonswald is situated in a beautiful part of the Black Forest and is ideal place to stay for touring the countryside.

  Our host and wife were amazing. He tries so hard to speak English and it's absolutely adorable! The light in our bathroom was burnt out upon arrival but as soon as we noticed he sent for replacement :). It was fixed within the hour. The hotel is a charming cute little home turned into a hotel. Breakfast was included and was delightful - The hospitality of the owner compensates for his little English, with a true smile and plenty of attentions to the customers. A big room with a big bathroom (we had no terrace). Everything very clean. The rural style is warm, not old-style or baroque. The breakfast is offered in the ground floor, in a very large room that might work as a restaurant or as a bar. The house is in a beautiful valley.
