Opening in April 2013, this hotel is quietly set in a listed building which used to be a school. Hotel Im Schulhaus features free Wi-Fi, bike rental, an elevator, and a sun terrace. I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Im Schulhaus. Even though it was more expensive than my other nights on the track in Kaub and Sankt Goarshausen, it was much more well-appointed as well. I had a room with a patio and lounge chairs, which was perfect after a long day of hiking on the Rheinsteig. My bed was comfortable and I was able to spread out in the comparatively huge room. todos opiniões » The building itself - excellent contemporary design The room - as well as the afore-mentioned excellent design, an excellent power shower, large flatscreen, efficient air-con and complimentary water and Milky Way bars! Staff - friendly receptionists who offered great service. When I asked about taxis to the local railway station they arranged for the hotel's facilities manager to take me in his SUV! The breakfast - excellent selection of teas, coffees, juices, bread/rolls, pastries, cold meats. Friendly efficient staff. Great venue, an old school tuned into a hotel with respect about the past. Breakfast was good, seating was great. Dinner in neighbourhing Gasthof-Weingut which served great local food with wine from their own vineyards. All in all : Great experience. Recommendation!. The hotel does not serve evening meals (this is not an issue in itself, albeit slightly unusual for a hotel of this size, and I was fully aware of this fact when I booked) and, at least on the Monday evening I visited, all but one of the local restaurants in Lorch had already closed by 2030. I liked everything!. Leaving - I would stay here forever if I could!. For bicyclists, on the "wrong" side of the Rhine but there is a ferry to take you across the river to the bike path. No coffee maker in room. I found the hotel a bit overpriced. Only "backyard view" from room window. I liked everything. The weather!!!.
