If you are going there for a match at BayArena, then the location is good as free buses depart from just outside the hotel -

It was a friendly, family hotel and had a homely feel to it. There was agood buffet breakfast, the room was clean, and it was close to Opladentrain station. A solid three star effort. It had a bar but was usuallyclosed by soon after 10pm. It was reasonably priced in trade fair timewhen all other hotel prices go through the roof. - Nothing

The guesthouse stands next to the River Rhine, and I had a room with a beautiful view onto it, and the green nature that surrounds the area. That was lovely.

Our stay at the Rhein River Guesthouse was very enjoyable. We used the idealic location in between Dusseldorf and Cologne to visit both cities. Staff were very helpful in informing us of the best ways to get into the city, and also at one point even lending us a phone charger!
Beautiful garden with exotic birds and water features - lovely to relax by.
Very happy with our stay - would recommend.

Very warm welcome, very comfortable - just what we needed after a 10 hour drive from the west of France, and the directions to the hotel from the motorway were very helpful -
