  A genuine old-fashioned French welcome, good food and friendly staff. Very convenient for travellers - a haven just off the major roads that felt like a step back in time, but with modern facilities. - A very clean and comfortable hotel. Lovely, friendly staff and good food, freshly cooked. We used for an overnight stop and would do so again.

  Hotel Gamade was a convenient first night stop on our journey from England to Spain. Our family room was great, two rooms with a bathroom, it was however up three flights of stairs. Staff friendly and helpful. Evening meal was good but slightly strange, full use made of local ingredients and about 80% of the menu was duck. Didn't have the breakfast at 9 Euros but bought excellent croissants at the local bread shop. - Easily accessed from the motorway so a perfect stop on a long road trip.Traditional, well maintained building in small historic town;room very clean and comfortable.Very good 4 course dinner and, on a Sunday evening! Excellent breakfast.Very good value.Will definately revisit when travelling through again.

  I have stayed here several times over the last seven years and whilst the management has changed hands the overall quality of the hotel has been consistently high. Staff are friendly and there is a good restaurant. - The recent owners are the nicest people you can imagine. They really welcome you in their "home".
