This was the total experience of being in a castle during my stay in France! My single room was tiny but very efficient and had all of the comforts including a coffee/tea maker. The highlight was a fresh baguette delivered to my door and the sweetness of my French hostess. The courtyard was also quite sweet as I was able to relax and paint... and a great place to get away from the crowds of the city. The highlight was to be in "the cite" at night and from the "logis" there were many paths an. todos opiniões »
I love being in the medieval city and staying in sort of medieval dwelling though it has all comfort you can expect from the building like this. It's like being back to Middle Ages but with modern time features such as bathroom. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to enjoy breakfast (had to leave early), but ther are no doubts that eating breakfast in the small courtyard add something to overall experience. We certainly recommend staying there to people who appreciate "medieval feeling", and we .
This is a fantastic place to stay inside the walled city of Carcassonne!
You are even able to park in the free "hotel guests only"
parking lot near the city cemetery. The room was great for anyone
looking to do self-catering, since there was a partial kitchen and
fridge, along with pots/pans/dishes. We took advantage of that
and had a great dinner in our room. The room wasn't fancy, but it
had absolutely everything that my wife and I needed to have a great
visit. Highly recommended!.
The location of this four apartment building is within the ancient
castle walls. It is within a minute or so of restaurants but far enough
away from the main street to be quiet. Fridge, crockery, coffee, tea,
butter, jam & cooking facilities in rooms. Fresh bread provided for
breakfast every morning. Not a 5 star Hilton (nothing is within the
castle walls) - but much much better.
Great value for the money
Charming - very French - Bed & Breakfast
Note: The owner of the place has a job alongside - so you might be “greeted” with a message placed on the front door: Your name - room number and practical information.
We met the owner 2 days after arrival (she takes care of the rooms every day)
A very kind and helpful young woman .
Excellent location for experiencing Carcassonne.
Authentic medieval experience with modern comforts: great shower, comfortable bed and coffee maker. Room is simple and cosy, ideal for a short stay to explore castle.
Fresh bread delivered in the morning for an easy breakfast.
The location just within the walled city, although our gps couldn't
find the street address. The kitchenette facilities and cute little
courtyard. Free parking; although the paid parking lot just outside the
main entrance to the centre is inexpensive.
A very small logis in the heart of the cite. So accessible for all
the sights shame about the weather but a lovely small courtyard if it
had been warmer. We would definitely recommend this to others and
user it again.
Absolutely Charming room and view. Intimately small. Strategically located. No frills, but everything necessary for light travelers. Definitely recommended for backpackers.
The location was fabulous!
"Decor" is what I would call rustic.
Efficient and good quality for cost.
The bed was very comfortable!
The place was very clean, as well.
It fitted perfectly with the surroundings - Carcassonne is a very old historic city and this hotel brought the atmosphere to us - with comfort and friendliness.
The quirkiness of the logis:unllike any hotel we've stayed in before. A real taste of Old France. Super location in the old town. Pleasant and helpful owner.
Set inside the city walls. Room had a small kitchenette and fridge. Windows opened on to small garden area. Fresh French bread left outside room in basket.
Great funky building in a great location inside the castle walls. Loved
the fridge, coffee maker and tea kettle. Decent shower pressure.
It was perfectly situated to explore Carcassonne and for those who don't like to stay in big hotels. The ameneties were adequate.
Really an small "logis" but comfortable with frigidaire, tiny
tv, breakfast in the room with fresh pain, good shower, ...
Great location in the heart of La Cité.
Comfortable bed
Quiet location
basic self catering equipment.
Loved the location inside Carcassonne castle, away from the shops, close to some good restaurants.
wonderful location; comfortable; friendly; excellent value; atmospheric; convenient.
Location was like staying in the castle itself. Fresh coffee & tea in the room.
The novelty of staying in a place which was so old and with so much history.
Very quiet with a comfortable bed. Great location. Good breakfast.
Quaint property in a great location to explore this lovely city.
Location inside old city, little court yard patio in shade.
Location was great, the room was simple but appropriate.
meeting so many people in a short period of time.
Friendly staff. Excellent location.
In the heart of the medieval city.
Its location could not be better.
very friendly host.
It was basic accommodation but everything we needed was provided. Due to
an emergency we did not see any staff member, but a note was left on the
entrance to the building giving access details.
The location
Breakfast on the patio
The ambience
Being in th emiddle of carcasonne what an experience.
The building was very quaint and added to its charm. Lots of places to eat nearby.
Please note: this is within the cite of Carcassones' walls and quite a trek all on foot to the "Logis." After taking a taxi from the train station and being dropped off at the gates to the cite, I had a good laugh as I came bumping with my bag across the cobblestones many blocks into the heart of the "cite". This is not for the faint of heart...but has provided many good chuckles. Great location - I would expect for backpackers and those that are on weekend holiday.
A bit weird checking in and checking out without seeing anyone. No WiFi.
We were not told in advance how to use the free parking so we ended up
paying for 5 hours in the public car park. It would be helpful if this
was explained on booking confirmation documents.
A little short of toilet paper :).
Sneaking a glimpse at some of the other rooms ours seemed the best (Room 1), others appeared smaller and darker.
If you are looking for a hotel or long term stay this might not be to your liking.
Minor points really, not to discourage people from staying; but it
seemed a bit impersonal for the type of lodgings that the lady running
the rooms was not on site- everything was settled over the phone in
French. The baguette for breakfast was not very nice.
Booking .com information was slightly misleading.
It might be the American in me, but 'breakfast' should be something a bit more than just a loaf of bread. Maybe a croissant and some fruit?.
Nothing.
It was a bit spartan, but OK for four nights. We'd like to go back, but to one of the studios next time: more room.
Lond walk from car park which is free.
Breakfast was a baguette left at the front door each morning. Never met
the owners. They left butter and jam in the fridge. And coffee creamer.
It felt a bit like camping out rather than a hotel, but we enjoyed the
experience overall.
Very bad information about the hidden location, place very difficult to
find. No reception, no body waiting... Booking must give this
information in the web.
TV didn't work
No extractor in the bathroom, just the plastic cover for one pushed into the ceiling, which fell out when we were there!.
didn't dislike anything!.
Breakfast is completely self service in your room.
Wheeling suitcases over cobblestones.
Nothing at all-it was great.
Room we had (#2) was small but this was expected. If you can get one of the other rooms that would be better.
A bit strange to never really speak with anyone from the b&b/hotel, but not really a problem.
outside the medieval city is a bit intimidating.
Saw no staff, police fined us for parking in the hotel carpark.
It was basic.
We had some problems (a) in finding where to park our car and (b)
locating Le Logis des Remparts once inside the city. It was raining
heavily all the time we were searching, which did not help!.
mmm hard to say
It was VFM so to expect more for what we paid would be rude.
Long walk from the car as it was inside the walled city.
Everything.
