This family run B&B was welcoming, comfortable, had onsite parking and was quiet. It felt like home. It is on the main road on the edge of the commercial strip across from the RSL. It is within walking distance of the beach.

It was close enough to the town centre but was still quiet, the owner was very helpful and friendly, the room was a good size and very comfortable, and everything was clean and welcoming. Didn't try the brekkie so can't comment on that but the choice of food and the price was great.

The room was small but was always kept very clean. The hotel is in a quite location and it is only a 5 minute walk to the nearest train station which was very handy. The breakfast was great. than expected and we were quite comfortable for our four nights. George
and family also provide your choice of a great breakfast. The location
was good, we walked to the harbour and only took transit a couple of
time but the hotel was easy for using bus or train.
We enjoyed our stay.

Our Host and Hostess went above and beyond for us, offering to drive us to our friends wedding when we couldn't get a taxi, and baking us fresh banana bread for afternoon tea. Absolutely gorgeous location, excellent personal service, reasonable rates for the area and a very friendly dog that will greet you on arrival! We would definitely return.

We stayed in Thistle Hill for 2 night celebrating my partners birthday. I have visited Hunter Valley previously and have to say this Guesthouse is one of the top stays I have experienced. Beautiful decor with attention to details, Thistle Hill grounds are stunning, breakfast very tasty with great choice of food, and Carol's baked pears just delicious!! We will definitely come back later this year.

The ladies working there were just lovely! One stayed on until after midnight to check us in when our flight was delayed. They were so helpful with all of our questions.

We very much liked the accommodation in the cottage. The breakfast in the main guesthouse was very much home made, plentiful and delicious. The hosts were extremely friendly but at the same time respectful of privacy. Room was beautiful as well as gardens. Nice linen , soft towels and decorative furnishings. Room had chocolates and port. Breakfast and afternoon teas were plentiful and delicious. Candlelight and music created a romantic ambience. Native birds flock there. Free wifi.

I had a great time at Chatswood Inn. I can't say much about the room itself (it's OK but nothing special), but it was perfectly clean and the staff was very nice and helpful. The location is quite close to Chatswood train station, which is about 15 minutes from the city center on a frequently served train line.

Very, very relaxed and friendly with a lovely old world ambience. Good breakfast and nothing was too much trouble for the hosts.
