For a best western it has so much character, very nice design, nice to look at and rooms were spacious, clean and well maintained.
Nice pool area and fitness suite.

The BW Hacienda is our main reason for visiting San Diego. Our return for a second vacation in SD this year was because we have found this central, traditional-style, good-value hotel in the Old Town. This hotel was fantastic, a true gem. The staff go beyond the call of duty and take pride in remembering all their visitors. The price was a screaming deal, the location is ideal - rental car recommended but everything is close by. I liked that it was walking distance to the historic old town. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The complimentary breakfast included waffles, boiled eggs, variety of cereals, hot cooked oatmeal (not the packaged stuff), fresh fruit, yogurt, pastries and toast. The rooms come with DVD players and they offer a wide selection of movies free of charge. There is also local transit (bus) station very close to the hotel.

for a budget motel. Michael, Raul and Michael were helpful and

For the money, this was an excellent choice for a budget. It was clean and you had everything you needed. All new linens every day and well maintained. Security on site in the evenings was a plus. The outdoor pool and hottub were also well maintained and a nice ammenity for the stay. I've stayed at hotels for triple the cost that were less well kept and less comfortable.

Location was excellent!. Room was clean. We opted not to get room clean on second day stay and got $5 coupon to use at one of their restaurants. Service was great. We requested clean towels on second day and were brought up quickly. If you need something for room, just call and ask. Friendly staff. Got $5 coupons for each member (5) towards San Diego zoo. Could get noisy due to it being family friendly but that is expected. Close to restaurants.
