The best thing about this hotel is its owner .. Mr. Mahmood. He is one of the most polite, kind, friendly & helpful person I have come across. Whatever your problem may be, he's always ready to help. We have stayed at Faik Pasha for two nights. This hotel is an excellent option in İstanbul. We chose this hotel due to the Taksim square protests. Great location. Easy to move from there to visit the city and rich of bar pub cafe and nightlife. Nearby Karakoy a dinamic district with many lovely restaurant and the great istanbul modern, a museum you might see.

A classic hotel, which I've used twice before, in 1995 & 2005, before its recent refurbishment. It's now three times the price, but the grandeur is no longer faded, it's now a true 5-star place. And I'm delighted to say that the refurb hasn't spoilt its character at all, as this is a hotel with more character and history than most! Staff were great, we got a room upgrade, and an extra hour extended checkout wasn't a problem. If we return to Istanbul, it'll be the Pera Palas for us!

I had a delightful surprise staying at the Taksim Star; very impressed by the room, soft yet crisp sheets; the bathroom was really clean, too!! The entire room was designed remarkably, very stylish and ingenious use of space. Very helpful, friendly and courteous staffs, and the location could not be better, near everything. -

Clean Hotel and the location to visit Istanbul is perfect. Is hard to find a better location than this one. For a stroll, shopping, dinner is just around there. Places of interests are accsessible by public transports or Taxi in 5 to 10 minutes. I would stay anyway in that area since the good restaurants and other evening activities takes place there. Nice view from our room to Raxim square. Good and clean bed. The staff cooperative and helpful. The breakfast is included in the price, for that
