We were met at the apartments by Kai who explained everything for us and gave us some great tips on things to do whilst we were there.
The apartments were very clean and comfortable and the location was excellent. It was located a few minutes from Dam Square, one of the main attractions in Amsterdam. There was a great view of the river Amstel from the apartment windows with all the boats passing by at regular intervals.

I have never stayed in a houseboat before. I was not disappointed. It was a great apparment on the canal. Great view through the large windows. Excellent facilities. Very comfortable bed, good kichenette and excellent bathroom. Close to everything, shops, resaurants, but not noisy - just the right balance. I was on a business trip, but plan to go back in the Spring with my wife. Paul and Patricia were terrific in helping out and providing advice. Great service!

Everything about this was excellent - hotel small and characterful, staff extremely welcoming and helpful, breakfast delicious, rooms and beds very comfortable. Iv stayed here three times now and usually have the en suite bedroom on top floor but this time we could not so stayed in the shared facilitied bedroom. this was ok for one night but if staying any longer time I would recommend the ensuite room. but however no problmes with the shared bathroom and our bedroom was clean and tidy and perfect for our

It was very interesting to leave in a real hause in the centre of Amsterdam.The hosts were very nice and welcoming. In a kitchen it is possible to have breakfast. Very good central location, not far from the main central station andthe centre of the city. The train stop is just near the hause. There are several shops near by.

The location which was quiet, the breakfasts were great, the bed was large and very compfortable,the coffee maker, the cleanliness of the place the most important of all to us.
The weather was so cold and awfull for our trip, we spent a lot of time on the boat, it was warm, there were hundreds of good DVDs so we watched loads, and fed the swans, and ducks through the open window!

The owners were exceptionally nice and welcoming. The location is great! Only a ten minute walk from Central Station. Lovely breakfast is complimentary, the common area is extremely comfortable and you can sit up on deck and gaze out at the cityscape! Highly recommend Hotelschip Gandalf!!!

My husband and I recently stayed here (May 2013). We loved it. All of
it. We would love to visit again. The homeowners are amazing, friendly
and very accommodating. The cottage is located on miles and miles of
cycling and running trails (my personal paradise). You are in the middle
of the country and only a 9km cycle into the center of Amsterdam.

The location is brilliant. 10-12 min drive to the the city or ca. 6-7 min to the Park & Ride. Then you can take a tram and in 10 mins you are at the Central Station. The cottage is tiny but has everything you need in a cool design. The surroundings are very nice with nature and canals. You can sit on the small terrace and enjoy the multitude of birds and the nice canal. The village next door is pretty and has one restaurant (no breakfast!). Everything is just perfect.

A very nice place to stay with friendly and especially helpful staff. Breakfast is good, the place is spotless, and it is to very close to the sights, and the train station. Since it is a docked boat it is also very quiet.
Don't forget it is a boat cabin what you will get. If you have accepted that, than you find this place very much to your likin

The price and location are good, and it's interesting to stay on a canal boat. In the summer, this boat cruises the waterways of France. As long as you expect cramped, boat cabin accommodations and a staff of one, it's fine.
