  Lovely room, comfortable beds, nespresso machine was a nice touch. Breakfast was very good with a choice of cooked dishes and a cold buffet. The spa had just opened but we had forgotten our swim suits. Location was very good. Gaston and the other staff were wonderful - nothing was too much trouble. We used their parking at a cost of 12 euros per night. - The location, facilities and above all the staff who were very friendly and helpful. This was especially true when I caught "Dutch Flu" and they let us stay in the room for an extra 2 hrs until it was time to go to the Airport - Gaston's suggestion. Also Gaston's mum who runs a shuttle service to the Airport deserves a positive mention. Thanks again.

  The comfort and silence after all the traveling. - The staff at Van der Valk Hotel Leiden was wonderful and very helpful.The hotel was very nice and very clean. The bar and restaurant (twoseparate facilities) were very nice as well and a nice addition. Thelocation on the canal was beautiful!

  The bed was comfy (memory foam) and the room spacious. Good air conditioning as it was 31 outside. The shower is a wet room type, clean and modern. Big fluffy white towels which we love. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent.   This is a friendly hotel. There is no fuss checking in or out. The rooms are lovely and the beds are comfortable. I had a lovely nights sleep and would certainly use this chain of hotels again as my first choice if I can. - Hard working and friendly staff
