Excellent service - an ideal 2-star hotel for anyone wishing only bed and breakfast. After asking about where to have dinner with our children, we were given a map and thoughtful answers on where to visit and eat beyond our guide book. The Hotel Malts' breakfast is a real treat too so I recommend you enjoy it for at least one morning. And the beds are very comfortable!

We liked the fact that this is a really historic building, with splendid views. Very comfortable beds, great shower, wonderful B & O sound system. The location was great. The owner took time to tell us about the building, and helped us get a free parking space. Very helpful with any queries we had.

This was the most comfortable hostel I stayed in during my travels. In a very cute city away from the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam, but just a 10 min walk + 15 min train ride to visit Amsterdam. I highly recommend taking the 15min bus ride to Bloomingdale beach! I would compair Bloomingdale beach in July to beaches I go to in San Diago Califo

If you need a vacation from your backpacking vacation, than this is the perfect hostel for you. -
The hostel was located in a quiet corner of town, and is a very charming place. The rooms (I had a shared dorm) were very clean and comfortable. The staff too was very friendly and helpful. Lastly, Haarlem is a lovely place. There are many things to be seen while walking around.

What a gem! Such a special place, right on a small canal. This is a home from home and I'd recommend staying in Haarlem rather than Amsterdam with children as it's 15 minutes by train into Amsterdam and the same time to the beautiful beach. Haarlem is a mini Amsterdam without the awful crowds and the house was a perfect haven.
