Staff was exceptionally professional and helpful. We had to stay an extra night (Saturday!) due to my wife's illness.We had to return to Texas very early the next morning (Aug 11). They took care of everything! Fabulous! People and attitude really are everything and the Lord Nelson has it in spades! -

We asked for a quiet room and we got a corner room on the top floor. It was lovely. Dated....yes...but clean, friendly, and enjoyable.
The dining room looks enchanting. We missed its opening by one day but we did get breakfast the day we left. -

For 1 night, it suited our needs very well. Restaurant close by and fairly direct access to the airport. Clean, quiet and a friendly staff.

The staff was excellent and would accomodate you in anyway you asked. When my aunts, uncles and cousins showed up unexpectedly for a visit, they let us use the breakfast room to visit in! They are very PET FRIENDLY! -

one of the front clerks helped us find information about the explosion site from the two vessels colliding. She was not able to get the information immediately but brought it up to our room within 10 minutes of asking for directions. -
I put in a request for a a blanket fort, which was met with enthusiasm and stocked with snacks and comic books!

This was our first trip to Nova Scotia, and we wanted a hotel that within walking distance of points of interest, shopping, restaurants, etc. It certainly fulfilled all of those needs. The staff was very friendly and willing to give suggestions to first-time visitors. The rooms were very clean and well appointed.

my boyfriend and I loved the pool and our room. The bed was one of the comfiest hotel bed I've ever slept in. The employee who checked us in was very sweet as well. -

It was very family friendly from the moment we arrived with our three children. Their house dog greeted us and my kids made an instant friend. This was our first visit and as soon as we walked in we were welcomed and everyone was friendly and helpful . A nice addition was the hotel's mascot, a very patient chocolate lab named Cocoa ! The entire hotel was spotless and attention was paid to detail. Good location along a small lake and close to shopping. The breakfast (included in the price) is one of the best anywhere.
