Location near airport, good if your arriving by plane and just staying few nights. A bit of from action in Coolangatta, but distance is still walkable. Hostel has got free shuttle bus to town during the day. Good kitchen. Younger girl (with dark hair) working in the hostel was really kind. Internet worked fine, nice tv-lounge with sofas. -

Everything. From the design, color of the motel to the interior layout. The motel looks retro and the layout of the room is modern. Its very clean, spacious, comfortable and new. A lovely retro-styled hotel,excellent location if you are flying out of the Gold Coast airport (the room fee includes a free airport transfer). Also very good when coming off a late night flight - there are always cheap supplies in the room (noodles, cup-a-soups, hot water jug), great if you are coming off a 1 am flight! As we were heading off to the airport early next morning this motel was ideally situated for us, being close to public transport from Brisbane and a few minutes walk from the airport.
Comfortable facilities, not extravagant, but more than adequate for travellers.
A tavern and a surf club are within easy walking distance for an evening meal.

Great accommodation and close to GC airport. Stopped over night with my mum who's in her 70's and we were flying out next early morning. Whilst checking in to the motel the previous evening we enquired about taxis to the airport ... the manager of the motel very kindly offered to take us rather than calling a taxi...a great personal service... This was my second time in the last few weeks staying at Golden Shores and like the first stay it did not disappoint. It's proximity to everything(beach, airport & some good restaurants) is excellent as well as spotless comfortable rooms. It is all that you need for a short, well priced stay.

It was a perfect to relax sitting out on our balcony looking over the pool and palms swaying.
Our one bedroom was perfect, very clean and everything if we wanted to cook a meal. The bed was nice and firm and the shower was very good.

We loved the location and the spaciousness of the penthouse perfect for my birthday party. Jayne Rob and Meg couldn't do enough and the little touches were some of the things that made our stay even better. I will be back and have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone. Older building but apartment 15 had high quality fittings and was a real surprise inside. Great view and a decent balcony. If all apartments in the building are equiped and fitted out in the same manner then this is an ideal destination. Great value and attentive service from management. All in all, would stay there again.

The decor of our apartment had been updated so it was a very nice modern 3.5star. We had the bottom floor which was handy to the pool for the kids.
Staff very friendly. The size of the apartment was very good. The heated spa was awesome. It was not beachfront but still close to clubs and shops so we enjoyed the daily walk. -

The lady that owns and runs this motel was fabulous. She called me on the morning that I was arriving to see if I needed to be picked up from the airport! Transfers to and from Gold Coast Airport were included! She was so helpful! The room was lovely and clean, beds were comfy. Lots of little special touches that would make me recommend for short

Everything. Karen was wonderful. We are both gluten and dairy intolerant. She said that was not a problem and provided a fantastic breakfast for us. She directed us to where we wanted to go with attractions,shopping centres. Wish we could have stayed longer the unit was great modern impeccably clean . Everything you could want. Thank you.
