After reading other reviews I was nervous about booking but needed a
budget friendly hotel for our trip. This was definatly budget friendly.
On check in Tony was very friendly. He gave us maps of attractions and

The room was clean when we arrived. We did have a light bulb out in the
bathroom but the others were enough to make up for the one that was out. -
I was extremely impressed with the courteous staff and the clean spacious lobby when you walk in. The free breakfast was a surprise in that it had a very good selection of different items to choose from. The rooms were not incredibly new, but there was no smoke smell and everything in the room (even the bathroom) was spotless. The rooms were quiet and comfortable.

The location is the key factor, actually next door to the Alamo and very close to the Riverwalk area and the Mall. Felt safe to walk in these areas even late at night. Staff was friendly and helpful. It is a standard room in an old historic hotel, but clean and comfortable. The breakfast that was included was good. Everything. I needed a place to stay near the airport, where as a solo
woman traveling I felt safe and comfortable. This hotel was perfect.
I accidentally left my cell phone in the lobby of the hotel when I left. I called the hotel from the airport and the front desk supervisor drove my phone and charger to me!! Such service and friendliness!!
