I loved everything about my stay at Sylvern House, The owner was so friendly and helpful from start to end. Breakfast was amazing 3 courses and it was so filling and made me and my girlfriend ready for the day ahead! Neither of us had any problem with our room or any other part of the stay. The b&b was in such a lovely location just off of the north bay cliffs. It was perfect! I would very much like to say a great big thank you to Richard and Vicki for running such a beautiful bed and break.

Informative folder in the room full of useful information about the local area such as directions, things to do and restaurants etc. Well stocked tea tray in room and owners very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Nice room. Comfy beds. Modern shower with large bathroom. Very clean. Tea and coffee topped up each day. Nice touch was a bottle of water left each day. Good location for visiting the castle. Lovely cooked breakfast each morning. I was made very welcome and Richard gave me lots of good advice about things to see (and a discount voucher for Sealife!) The room was very well appointed and the breakfast excellent. I will definitely visit again!. my wife and I agreed it is the best guest house we have stayed in the couple who own sylvern house are fantastic and our room was spotless and the breakfast was very good. we will go back again. pleasant ,clean, well furnished room , comfortable bed and excellent supply of free beverages in the room. very nice breakfast, cooked and served beautifully. free on street parking too. All good. Very friendly, free parking as they provide a permit. Breakfast 'tick sheet' alows you to choose what you really want, not just a full English. 5 star hygiene rating too. the people who run this b&b were very friendly and the room was spotless. good location with lots to do and would recommend sylvern house to others. we will definitely go back. We were well looked after, the breakfast was excellent and the location of the hotel was very good. very pleasant host and the choice at breakfast was excellent. beds very comfortable. There was nothing not to like, It was perfect!. Only problem was room 7 was up quite a few flights of stairs and my 87 year old mum struggled with this. Unfortunately the owner was unable to offer alternative room due to them being fully booked. This isn't a criticism of the guesthouse itself, but anyone who finds hills or steps difficult should be aware that as The Sylvern is on the clifftop, any journey (down to the beach, harbour etc) is a lot easier going than coming back!. I had a squeeky bed!. Rooms were quite small. Nothing to dislike. Nothing bad to stay at all. Room a good size but bathroom too small for a long stay in a room designated as a family room. The bathroom was just too cramped. Would have preferred a 7.00a.m. breakfast start but appreciate that in this instance it would not be fair to the owners. small bathroom sink, hard to wash babies bottles. No. Nothing. The ensuite was tiny and the handbasin was in the bedroom. cannot really think of anything that was unpleasant.
