This is a spotlessly clean, friendly guest house. Towels were huge and fluffy and changed three times during our five night stay, lovely clean bedding too. Ian and Sue were wonderful hosts - anything you want to know about Scarborough just ask - they know everything. The breakfasts were amazing. We will definately stay here again. Sue and Ian were exremely friendly hosts, very helpful, always going out of their way to make our stay a pleasant experience. The tradional English breakfast was a daily treat, tasty and ample in quantity. Very clean room and lovely homely scented bed sheets. Definintely recommendable.

I was expertly looked after by sue and ian and to these 2 very special people I would like to say a big thankyou........regards ERIC. Everything. Sue & Ian were so lovely,felt like we had known them for years they were so friendly and helpful, giving us directions, asking if there was anything they could do. Great value for money too. Staff at the Monico were exellent. Could not be faulted. Our room was exellent and the food was great. All round amazing weekend break. Will book again. Thanks ian and sue. Lovley room, excellent breakfast, spotlessly clean and Sue and Ian were more like old friends rather than hosts. Looking forward to returning later in the summer. Lovely friendly couple ian and sue who couldnt do enough for you, and you must try the smoked haddock for breakfast, its to die for. Overall a great stay. Well we loved everything about this bed and breakfast , the owners are lovely , the rooms and facilities are fantastic and we will defo be returning . We liked everything about the monico, we were well looked after, spotlessly clean, breakfast amazing, will stay there next time we are in scarborough. Not always easy to get the right water temperature for showering but I guess that could be blamed on the old fashioned method of separated cold and hot taps. No dislikes. Nothing, had a great time. None. Nothing at all!. The bathroom was a little cramp. The shower had very little pressure. The room was on the small side but was booked as a single and was adequate for my needs. Would have liked a bath rather than shower but did know this before we went. My only criticism is the very meagre flow from the shower in our ensuite. nothing. Would prefer a later breakfast time. Nothing. could not find fault. nothing. nothing.
