  The pub itself is lovely, nice and traditional with big log fires. The room we stayed in was located upstairs above the pub, it was big, clean and comfortable. Although the hotel is located in a quiet part we took a nice walk (2 and a half mile) along the canal into the city of Chester. We're there's many shops, restaurants and bars. It was a really pleasant atmosphere and a lovely location. Also we had dinner on Saturday which started a little late as we were a large group and the restaurant was quite full - we got to dessert and the waiter made it for us as the chef had finished for the day - superb service and more than could be expected.

  From the moment we walked into the hotel the staff were very welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. The room was very clean and tidy plus spacious which was a bonus. The city centre wasn't that far and was a mere twenty minutes walk ( 2 miles ) Overall our stay in Chester was a fab one and would stay here again. - Very impressed with the Hot... hva folk sier » el, easy to find just off the motorway. Karen on reception was amazing and so helpful, booked our evening meal and also advised we book the zoo online and she would print out tickets so we get fast tracked which we did. Lovely girl!
