  Everything the owners were very friendly showed us to our room and the lovely smell of fresh linen when they opened the door was beautiful.They even had bottles of water for you wine glasses,mini fridge,corkscrew which in all the b and b's that we have stayed in never supply.The lovely smell of home baking that was made for you to take home was go... hva folk sier » rgeous.The cooked breakfast and the bowl of fresh fruit in the morning was lovely. I would definetly recommend to anyone to book a stay at this b and - The B&B was immaculate, rooms spotless and bright. The most comfortable bed I have ever had the pleasure to sleep in. The breakfast was amazing the choice outstanding, fresh fruit cocktail, full cooked breakfast, smoked salmon and eggs, I could go on. Proprietors Kevin and Debbie were very helpful, even down to removing a stubborn curry stain from my T shirt on arrival. This hotel is a fabulous find... A must

  We have just enjoyed a relaxing 3 night stay at Saxon Villa. Des and Heather are a gift to the hospitality industry, with their warm welcome. Des had e-mailed shortly before our stay to confirm our arrival time, which we intended would be around 16:30.   We Had an excellent two night stay at Middlethorpe. Andy & Wendy were friendly & helpful. This is one of the best B&Bs we have stayed in, comfortable well decorated rooms, ours had a good view over the bay. Breakfast set us up for the day. We opted to catch a bus into Whitby, we were picked up & dropped back at the end of the drive... hva folk sier » . Our stay was all too short but we would love to return & would have no hesitation in recommending Middlethorpe. - Wendy made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived! All made extra special by the little details - including the candle she placed in the birthday cake! And the bottle opener from *i think* Andy! Breakfast was also wonderful!

  We had a lovely break at this B&B last weekend. The owner has given a lot of thought to the decoration of this lovely Victorian house, it is very cosy and she keeps it beautifully. She is very friendly, welcoming and attentive, and full of ideas for local trips. The breakfasts were amazing with an endless choice of menu, nothing is too much tr... hva folk sier » ouble. There is parking for 3 cars on the driveway, a bonus as parking is at a premium in the village. The location is great, just a couple of minutes - A warm welcome awaited us from the landlady. Very clean, cosy and comfortable. Lots of character within the rooms. We chose a traditional full English breakfast which was superb but were also given a choice of smoked salmon and scrambled egg. The main breakfast was accompanied by cereals, fruit juice, toast, tea/coffee. Quiet location in a lovely setting. Have booked to go again!
