We liked the hotel itself, it is very oldy worldy, the bed was lovely and comfortable, the bedroom itself was nice and spacious. Lovely open fire in the bar. The food was nice, but not what you'd call fine dining! The staff were friendly and did their best to assist us. -

Staff were unbelievably friendly and accomodating. Went way beyond job descriptions to help us, including opening breakfast early so that we could leave on time. They also printed out maps, descriptions, etc. - Spacious bedroom, well equipped with a terrific river view. Helpful and friendly staff. Excellent food and an interesting menu.
