WOW. We travel a lot as a family, and there are only a few places we've stayed that really impressed us -- this was one of them. Everything was lovely. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, comfortable, modern and elegant, without being fussy or overly decorated (or a worry about the kids accidentally breaking something).

A beautiful guest house! The room was wonderful, with an exceptionally comfortable bed, excellent bathroom and lots of extra little touches (like cookies, bottled water, fast wifi, extra blankets and even a hot water bottle!) A very warm welcome, with a "help yourself to anything that would make your stay more comfortable" approach. I stayed over the night before attending a conference in the area, but will certainly try to return for leisure. Highly recommended.

Everything! Proprieters were delightful, helpful, kind and friendly and looked after my elderly Mum and I very well. Room was perfect, clean, fresh, comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was simply delicious and the service was wonderful. We were sad to go and it felt like leaving old friends!

I thought DeAverell House was an excellent place to stay in. It was my first stay and I'd definitely go back. The staff are friendly and it's a very relaxing place to stay and the food was excellent. I couldn't find fault. I thought the owners Austin and Cate made my stay enjoyable with the excellent service and they are lovely company, especially, as I was a solo traveller. I would recommend DeAverell House to anyone.
