  We stayed as a family with 2 young children, in the therwell suite. Gorgeous room, had a connecting room for the children. Loved the attention to detail, teddies in the room & books and games. Two hampers were provided if you didn't fancy a cooked breakfast, these had cereals, jam and porridge in. We ate in the restaurant and the food was lo... hva folk sier » vely. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the reviews helped me pick the black horse , and it lived up to my expectations. Would love to stay again ! - We received a fantastic greeting and, throughout our visit, excellent personal service from all the staff that we encountered. The standard of the evening meal, food and service, was very high to the point that we would definitely see this hotel as a 'destination' for a future visit. The breakfast hamper delivered to the room was a novel but very good touch.

Having read only "excellent" or "very good"reviews from everyone who had stayed there, we chose The Village inn ,Brompton for our accommodation. In the evening we had dinner with friends, and thoroughly enjoyed the food. Our room was very clean, and nicely presented. Set in a pretty village, with a lovely green and stream.I must thank the lovely staff who were so pleasant, and made us feel as if they were interested in what we had to say.We would not hesitate to highly recommend.
