I was very impressed with the Woolpack - it's a really nice village pub with a warm, friendly atmosphere and very good value restaurant-quality food. This was our first visit to the Woolpack and we hope to return again as we have a daughter at school nearby. All the staff were great and nothing was to much trouble. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast very good. Loved the ambience of the place and the quiet location.

Everything, the restaurant was amazing & the service superb.
We especially returned to the dining room evenings as the food was so good & the waiters efficient & charming.
The whole hotel has a wonderful ambience & atmosphere conducive to rest & relax. A "fine place, with fine food, & fine service".

was very comfortable,quiet and clean.all facilities where there when
needed eg,hairdryer,tea makings,kettle,tv.and even free 30 min wifi.my

The Archangel was easy to find. We reported to reception and were met by a young and enthusiastic lady who welcomed us with a genuine smile.
This person took us on a quick tour of the amenities before showing us to our room which was everything the booking site said it was.

Loved the whole feel of the place, great hotel layout , staff very friendly . Room no 5 with till top bath really nice , mini bar with soft drinks and real fresh milk for coffee & tea making facilities . The creaky floorboards all added to the olde world atmosphere . Would definitely recommend . Evening meal good and reasonable price & breakfast good with hot & cold options .Very central location . Great place to stay !

Sam was spot on! Very friendly and made us instantly feel at home. The surrounding area was beautiful and the addition of the farm environment was a really good idea.
The morning breakfast was up there with the best I have ever tasted. Sam did a brilliant job even though we asked him to get out of bed at the earliest time! Sorry!
We had a brilliant few days and this place topped it off perfectly. We will be back!
