The hotel is effectively a good sized traditional country Inn and as such retains a really authentic natural charm to both the outside and especially, the inside of the building.

The room was large and airy, it was kept lovely and warm on some very cold days. Everything was there including some delicious biscuits. There is a restaurant which serves mouth watering food which I would highly recommend which was also presented very well. Well done to the chef there :-)

The service was very friendly and personal. I liked the individuality of the hotel. Friendly staff, lovely decorated bedroom room, lovely bathroom comfortable bed. Loved the fact there was complimentry water, free wifi. The complimentry newspaper was a really nice touch too. Its those little things that sets the George apart from other hotels in the UK. The doorman who helped us with our luggage was professional and helpful. Love

The facilities are everything you would expect from an establishment such as The George -the room was magnificent and the ambience of the hotel relaxing and welcoming. The staff are clearly focussed on guest comfort. It was a thoroughly enjoyable stay and we will certainly make a return visit soon.

The Bull & Swan is an atmospheric historical inn with stone walls and huge fireplaces. It is perfectly located for visiting Burghley House and exploring the pretty town of Stamford. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, and made us feel immediately relaxed and at home. Our room was stylishly decorated and spotlessly clean, with a large comfortable bed and lovely walk-in shower. Breakfast was ample, with plenty of choice of cold and hot goodies. Will definitely return.

absolutely FIRST CLASS food - the reviews about the young chef are true. Food that actually looked superb AND tasted unbelievable.
Quirky uniquiness of hotel, neither too stuffy or too casual. Its was unlike any formal or informal hotel we had stayed at before. loved it, yes, was very clean and comfortable, and relaxing!

we had a lovely large room, was a bit chilly when we arrived so was very pleased to find our room was very warm via the heating, bathroom was nice, although the shower worked ok, could do to be updated, staff were friendly, breakfast was excellent, would recommend.
