  I received a very friendly welcome from the staff. The room was clean and well-equipped for the price that I paid. When my circumstances changed and I had to cancel my second night there, the staff were most considerate and helpful. They cleared my room (I had to stay in hospital overnight), kept my things safe until I could collect them, and gave... hva folk sier » me a refund for the night that I did not stay at the hotel. - I found the staff to be very friendly without being fussy. The rooms are excellent and I can say this with experience as I have stayed on numerous occasions. The food is excellent. The hotel is located just outside Abergavenny good views of the countryside.   Hazel & Mike were great hosts. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. I was trading at the Abergavenny Food Festival and Hazel gave me a flask of tea as she knew how busy we'd be which was a lovely gesture. She also allowed me to store some things in her fridge! Bedroom was cleaned daily. Should we visit Abergavenny again, we will stay at the Farmers Arms without a doubt.
