Stayed for 2 nights in this lovely romantic getaway at the upper north point of Sairee beach on Koh Tao. Took the Lompraya High Speed catamaran from Chumpon (which by the way went super smooth, unlike many reviews you read on tripadvisor etc) and on arrival in Koh Tao the host of La Cigale, a very friendly englishman called Andre (originally from London but living in Thailand for over 25 years and speaking fluently thai) had arranged a taxi pickup for us straight from the pier at Mae Haad to th.
alle vurderinger » Outstanding hotel/resort! This place is very romantic. It would be especially good for a honeymoon or anniversary. The resort is a series of stand alone bungalows built into the jungle. They offer stunning views where the jungle breaks and you can see the beach area below. It's beautiful at night, especially with the fireshows down on the beach. The bungalows are hidden from each other by the jungle so it feels like you are isolated. The design of the buildings are very creative with a lot of s. This is a trully unique resort. Andre, the charming host has only four villas in total harmony with the jungle-like nature around them or even inside as in the case of the semi-outside bathrooms.From the porch there is a beautiful view of the beach. You can spend hours watching it from your hammock on the porch.Andre is extremely helpful and most interesting to talk with. What more can you ask for?. Absolutely beautiful interior and beach views and feels private. Andre is extremely helpful and an excellent host overall. Just wonderful!!!. Beautiful villas high in the jungle, 5 minutes walk to the beach. Wifi is a bit on the slow side, but we found that to be the case at most places on the island. Electricity went out a couple of times, just for a few minutes at a time. In fact this kinda added to the romantic feel so it wasn't a big deal for us :). I wouldn't recommended you bring kids under 10 years old. The area is steep and rocky, and it would be easy for young kids to get lost in the walk down to the beach if they went by themselves. Side note: do not take the cheap Seatran ferry to get to Ko Tao. Use Lomprayah instead. We used Seatran twice and both times their small cramped boat was over an hour late. While we sat and waited, we saw the the larger Lomprayah ferry arrive and depart right on time. well, you can ask to be closer to the beach and not to have to climb back to the resort or use the expensive taxis, but then you will not have a secluded villa in the jungle, will you?. Wifi can only be used by 1 villa at a time.
