Pepe Mesa is lokated on a fairly calm street, away from busyness and noise but very close to shops and restaurants. Nice functional rooms in traditional Spanish style. Nice roof terrace with sea view, great for a drink in the evening or dinner with wonderful mountain view. Nice pool - looked larger in pictures on line :-) Fresh towels daily. Friendly staff.

Very good location, only 5 minutes to beach and less than 10 minutes to the Balcony of Europe. The room was basic, but there was everything that we needed and it was very clean. The room had a small frige which is very convenient. -

The Hostal was spotless; the room was a small but comfortable; with all the facilities we would expect from a budget hotel. The staff were friendly and as helpul as their limited English allowed. the location was perfect close to the sea, the town and restuarants/cafes. We had a most enjoyable stay and would recommend it to friends.

We liked everything. Miguel made us feel at home, and provided with all the info for the town. The apartment has everything you need, including washing machine, kitchenette, utensils, etc. Amazing views of the sea from the room, as well as views of town, sea, and mountains from the roof terrace. The apartment although the smallest available was very nice and homely with everything you would need. Located in the best street in terms of accessibility to beach and nightlife. It was quiet and had a lovely roof terrace with a sea view. Frank the manager was helpful and obliging. Nerja itself was a super little town much more Spanish and authentic than the usual places on Costa Del Sol. Recommend the 1Euro bus trip to the mountain village of Friglianna only a few miles away. You couldn't wish for a walmer welcome to Nerja. Jane, Ian and Hannah are the perfect hosts. Friendly, funny and there to help with anything you need.
The hostal has a Spanish/Moroccan feel so you feel very much like you're in Spain but great to be able to speak English.
I didn't get to taste Ian's infamous scrambled eggs, a good reason to return. Which I will do next time i'm in Nerja.
