Sandbaai Country House offers individually decorated rooms with views of Walker Bay or the Hottentots-Holland Mountains. Its outdoor pool is surrounded by sun-loungers. The bright and colourful rooms at Sandbaai are decorated with Victorian-style furniture. Each room has a satellite TV and a tea/coffee maker. All have a private bathroom, some with a free-standing tub. A freshly prepared breakfast is served daily. Dinner, lunches, and picnics can be arranged on request. Guests can also enjoy a variety of drinks in the lounge or on the shaded terrace. Guests can hike along the whale-watching trails or enjoy a wine tasting, just 2 km away. Free private parking is available at Sandbaai.

The hotel is ideally situated close to the beach with panoramic views of the beach and sea. Good seafront walks in the area. Hotel was clean and comfortable with welcoming,friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast very good. "Best service ever at Sandbaai Country House..when you come this side visit them - its clean, they're not n your face, service good and owners wonderful people". Location to the sea view . Close to Hermarnus and other small coastal towns to visit Great breakfasts Friendly helpful staff Excellant deluxe sea facing rooms. Perfect for what we needed and even upgraded to a seaview room. Staff/owners were extremely friendly and we felt very welcome!. Angelique and Riaan were very friendly and helpful. The two dogs were free to roam inside including the kitchen area. One morning, there was a pile of dog poop between the bar and the couch. I almost stepped in it. No parking inside the complex.You have to park outside.Room was outside which is a bit scary. Unfortunatelly we picked a weekend where we had to sleep next to the back quorters no view what so ever,very noise in the morning. Finding the place proved difficult as we expected it to be in the centre of Hermanus and it was about 2 miles away in a suburb called Sandbaai. Showerdoor opening against wash basin. The weather(?). None. No airconditioner. ants. Rooms where a bit dusty, greater care could have been taken, was a bit too noisy being in the room right next to where the laundry was done, staff was too loud when speaking amongst each other. Not exactly the peace and quiet I was looking for. Not very friendly welcome no help with bags. Breakfast was greasy and served to a table off 4 at various intervals. Name. (indicates a grand house, but was a basic clean B&B). Room had no fridge or safe. TV was a tiny 14 inch back in time. But it was cheap basic and for one night as a stopover it was OK.You get what you pay for in this case. no aircon in the room. Getting out of the car to open and close the gate Having only one DSTV channel, KykNet Having to make coffee in the hallway From the photos an the web, it appeared as if each room had a magnificent view of the ocean, the room that I was in had a small sliver view of the ocean.
