Attentiveness of staff at front desk. Convenience of room - darkening drapes, amenities. I simply needed a room to sleep for a few layover hours between flights, it was very convenient. - The location is excellent, access to the airport by moving walkways rather than another scheduled bus or taxi ride. Weekend discount rate was very appealing.

Everything you need for a layover at the airport...Shower, tv, coffe and tea pot and close to restaurants. You need a boarding pass to get to it...and maybe a reservation confirmation as we'll as it is located in the transit terminal. Look for signs for the Rijk museum and then you will see signs for the mercure hotel. -

The room is spacious, well-appointed, and clean. The free wireless internet is the smart thing to do for business travelers - no extra charges, no complicated registration, and everything works. - It was nice that shampoo, conditioner, body soap, body milk were supplied. This is a brand new hotel with very well organized room space. A standard twin room is not very big, but arrangement is such that you have sufficient space for everything. You can take the Ibis/Etap/Novotel bus from the airport and get off at Novotel, then walk one block.
Grocery store is a few blocks away. Good prices there.
Staff was very helpful and friendly.
