Very special in Hotel Zuiderduin is the kids play corner Wally de Walrus. While the kids are playing in this "kids paradise" you can enjoy a drink in the pub which is nearby.

Please note that dinner is not available on the 25th of December. Please note that parking is possible at the accommodation but subject to availability. Please note that pets are allowed upon request. Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant and pub. Please note that the dinner option mentioned in the meal plan is a dinner buffet. Please note that rooms are guaranteed until 18:00 for check in. If you arrive later, please contact the hotel. It is possible that the hotel requires a credit guarantee in this case. Extra beds are available on request, charges may apply. Please note that swimwear is mandatory in the swimming pool. The sauna can only be accessed without swimwear.

Information about the area

More than 1000 years ago Egmond started out as a fishing village, but since the beginning of this century it has become popular with tourists. Both the fishing and tourist identity of Egmond are still evident in the characteristic streets of the centre.

Prominent on the boulevard is the lighthouse Jan van Speyck, which can be seen from the whole village. The wide beach offers many facilities such as pavilions and sailing and surf possibility.

With terraces, restaurants, a subtropical swimming pool and sports facilities, you will never have a dull moment in the village centre. The charming shopping area offers a great variety of different shops.

Surrounding Egmond you will find breathtaking dunes and nature reserves of North Holland. In the hinterland, especially in the direction of Egmond aan den Hoef and Egmond-Binnen, the beautiful flower fields beckon in spring.

Travelling information

How to get there?
By train/bus: From Heiloo train station with special taxi-cab "treintaxi" (€ 12.) Outside Alkmaar train station take bus 165 to Egmond aan Zee, leave the bus at Zeeweg. (directly opposite the hotel).

By car from Amsterdam on the motorway A9: At the Alkmaar roundabout take the Heiloo/Den Helder exit. You're now on the circular road. At the third traffic light turn left, exit Egmond. On this road please follow the sign's Egmond aan Zee, look for more instructions at: "When arriving in Egmond aan Zee".

By car from Zaandam to Uitgeest: Use the motorway route N8 from Zaandam to Uitgeest. In Uitgeest leave the N8 and take the A9 towards Alkmaar. (then follow instructions above).

When arriving in Egmond aan Zee follow the road until T-junction and then follow the sign centrum. Here follow the sign Strand-Zuid, this will lead to Admiraal de Ruyterweg. This road becomes, after a few curves, Zeeweg. The hotel and the parking (garage) can be found after 200 metres on your right at number 52.
