The location couldn't be bettered. Restaurants either direction, very close to bus stop, shopping area. If coming by train, would need a taxi or bus to get to the hotel as the town is on a hillside. The hotel is very quiet. We had the luxury of 2 rooms to ourselves. Reception was helpful. Loved the idea of having the laundrette next door. -

The innkeepers are really nice, they prepared local transport information for us. The room was very cozy and was cleaned every day during our stay. Breakfast was delicious with fresh coffee and egg. Each of two bus stops is about 3 to 5 minutes away, even walking distance to the Berchtesgaden HBF is just about 15 minutes. -

The location is great, just across the train/bus station, so you will be thankful that you don't need to drag luggage up to the hills where most of the other hotels locate. The price (80 euro for a double room one night) is OK considering the taxi fare up to the hills saved. The room is very clean, bed is nice, though the rooms in annex building do not have elevators and shower/restroom a bit small yet very clean. The breakfast buffet is good. I loved the fresh mint leaves they provided for

Beautiful location, large room with balcony and large bathroom with separate shower and bath. Very clean and comfortable (Although beds too soft for our taste). Good breakfast in the mornings and bike hire available. We had no car but it was an easy walk from train station (half an hour flat walk along the river). They also gave us free bus pass which we didn't end up using on our stay but could be useful. Typical beergarden/restaurant in the local village (500m away).
