  Fantastic location in the rain-forest. I personally love the Daintree area, and the Lync Haven Retreat offers exactly what you need, a convenient and comfy room in the middle of the Daintree National Park. We had a big and clean cabin in front of the Kangaroos garden (where we could feed them the morning after), and had a lovely (and tasty) dinner... hva folk sier » at the Retreat's restaurant. After all a perfect night in the rainforest! Good value for money, perfect location 5 minutes after the ice-cream compan - The location of the chalet was fantastic, there were walks into the rainforest a few yards from our door, with rescued kangaroos in a compound at the back. The staff were very friendly and exceptionally helpful and enthusiastic.

  We had an extremely enjoyable sojourn of 4 days at Crocodylus, and heartily recommend it to all who love nature. Sally and Steve and their crew were friendly and helpful, and provided an atmosphere of comraderie among the visitors. Living 1m from the jungle was a unique experience. The "rope walk" through the adjoining rain forest was interesting,... hva folk sier » and the dawn sea kayak trip was super. Having the choice of self-catering or served meals is a real plus, and the served dinner we had was very tasty - I loved my time here! So relaxing to be in the middle of the rainforest, being awaken at night by melodious calls of the birds! Staff was helpful and multi-talented, delicious and reasonable meals were available each day, the tent cabins were comfortable...I stayed 3 nights and was sorry to leave! There was even an ice cream shop just down the road, where you turn off the highway! What more can a person want!

  The location and ambience are fantastic. Deep in the forest it is but close to the rd- wonderful garden forest surrounds and access to all the Daintree tracks and creeks. I loved the actual building with verandahs and timber and tile, the birds and blooms and even a cassowary!
