  Views were excellent. Apartment was a good size with large balcony. Daily cleaning best standard we have experienced. New carpet. Two TVs (one in bedroom) appreciated. Location quiet, yet close to everything. Lobby, coffee shop and restaurant each a cool, peaceful refuge from the heat. King bed(2singles) comfortable, so slept well. The location was perfect - a very pretty area, lovely view over the harbour and easy walking distance to shops, supermarkets, wharf precinct. There was a good travel shop with great staff in the foyer which made it very easy to arrange excursion and get information about what to do and how to get around.

  Great location. Staff were friendly and helpful. The facilities were also great and I like that the place was surrounded with lots of trees and gardens so that staying there was very relaxing and laid back - very similar to the Darwin vibe. Air- conditioner worked well to keep the room cool.   Melaluca on Mitchell is located in the heart of Darwin and is right across from Coles. It's surrounded by great pubs and restaurants. I booked a double bed accessible room with my own ensuite and the room was great value for money and fully accessible. I also loved that the aircon was so loud it blocked out most of the noise! I was also impressed that I was given a discount for the broken sink. Overall I was really impressed as I haven't stayed in a backpacker's lodge since the 70's!!!
