The location is great. Right by the water and in a 'real' part
of the island. Don't take any notice of reviews that say the
neighbourhood is unsafe. It is a working area and there are fishermen
with gear etc. It's real!!
Staff at the resort are very helpful and the atmosphere is relaxed. Good to have the pool, canoes and snorkelling gear available

It was only a 5-10min walk to the Seven Eleven, and Mike’s Hulu Chicken truck and a grocery store where you can also buy alochol and foods. The room had hot plates and a microwave and kitchen. So that was more than fine.
The scenery was just magnificent. The water and beautiful rich green mountains with mist. I loved the fact that it was so far away from Wakiki. (Too busy for me).
My studio room was enormous and my bed was very comfortable.

The hotel is lovely, nice rooms, comfy bed. They gave us a complimentary room upgrade for our honeymoon. They are renovating at the moment so I imagine it will be more modern look in the future. The pool and beach are fantastic and loved the pool bar. Cocktails delicious! -

the staff were very friendly and ALWAYS said aloha every time they passed. The pool and gym were wonderful and we used them every day. I liked having the Kings and Queens market close by as we had a choice of eating establishments. the beach was protected and great for water sports. The beach was very nice. Our room would have been perfect if we'd
had a full ocean view instead of a partial because of a tree.
The gym is nice and clean.
The concierge was helpful but be warned, it is run by Expedia so no Kama'aina rates.
The nearby markets were convenient and a good option if you don't want to eat at the hotel. Several good restaurants as well as a food court are available.

It was all the little extras that Travaasa did that sold me! The sandalwood soap, the quality of shampoo and rinse, the soap dish and toothbrush holder. The staff were exemplary!Always going out of their way to insure we had the best care possible!

We were celebrating my father's 70 birthday and the whole family was at the Marriott (10 of us). We had 4 rooms between us at the Marriott. The rooms were so big spacious and partial ocean view was amazing. We had missed our flight leaving Hawaii and needed to check back in (we needed 4 rooms) and the staff (Tania) was amazing extremely helpful

a look at our fridge as it froze all our contents and it took them a week and a half of our stay to do anything about it. maybe they didn't understand us ,we had to tell them like 4 times until they replaced it.
Everything in fridge had to be thrown out.

Loved the adult infinity pool and that our room was a few feet away. We had an awesome oceanfront room that was very close to the pool. The pool side staff was very friendly and service was excellent. Front desk was freindly and helpful. Maid service was good too. -

I thought Rhisa, who checked me in was a wonderful concierge who helped me with all my inquiries and had bell hop take all my treasures up to my room! pleasantly pleased with everything about the hotel. Noise was not an
issue as so many reviewers said. But it is a city so there will be some.
We closed our windows at night & slept well. Great location. Buses
out front. IHop across the street. Staff went out of their way to help
whenever approached. I would stay here again.

One long blockfrom the Duke Kahanmoku statue which is dead center on the beach. GoodMexican restaurant called La Cucaracha along the way that was semi-reasonable. - I like the small size of the hotel which makes it a bit more personal and less commercial as big hotels. The room itself is very clean although the hotel building itself is dated.

Loved the atmosphere on the grounds with the open-air lobby and tropical landscaping.
The on-site restaurant had excellent food and a view of the pool and ocean. The tiki torch lighting in the evenings with the sound of the conch shell and great entertainer was also very memorable.

We liked how close we were to the beach. I left my sliding glass door open all night so I could hear the ocean. Very soothing. There are a lot of places to stay on Maui, I feel that I stayed in the best location!! Easy to get in and out. Hwy 30 just down the street. The staff made it extremely easy to come and go. They weren't pushy, but available when you needed them.

This boutique hotel is "just right". Not too big, not too small, not too fancy, not too plain: relaxed, casual elegance. The food is excellent. Most of the staff have been there for years. The hotel is at the far end of Waikiki Beach, next to the Nanitorium, across from Kapiolani Park and close to Diamond Head--in short, away from the madness of Waikiki but within walking distance.

We loved our corner room. The reviews said the hotel rooms were small so we expected a closet. It was perfect complete with a balcony we didn't expect. The staff was courteous and very efficient especially handling large teenage groups. The cleaning staff kept the floors immaculate. Elevators and card system worked very well. It exceeded our value

The front desk clerk, Micah, made us feel really welcome upon our arrival. My daughter will be attending grad school at U. of H. next year, and he was very good at giving us info. on how to reach the university via the bus system. The hotel is very lucky to have Micah on the staff. The maintenance staff was also excellent and helped us very quickly when we experienced a power outage.
