  Loved the old school vibe of the classic New England cabins. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We didn't bring pets but the hotel does have some pet-friendly cabins. Lots of visitors with dogs and there are some resident pets too. The cabins are clean but rustic. - I really enjoyed the separate cottages as well as the hiking trail behind... wat mensen zeggen » the property that linked to the dog park.   The fact the it was family run and own. The owners were very attentive to their guests needs. The other guests seem like the have been coming back for years. Very charming. - trish and sal were great. very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. full of suggestions on what to do because of uncooperative weather.

I liked the friendly staff, natural setting, down-to-earth feel, and the price was a huge draw. Staff is friendly and very accommodative to guest needs. - Clean bathrooms loved the sink was not so low. Many safety features. We stayed 5 nights, beds made fresh and rooms cleaned daily.

  While at first glance this place looked dated; it was completely upto date with internet access, flat screen tv's, frig, microwave, coffee in the room & above all this was one of the cleanest most well maintained places we have stayed. Our room at the Toll Road was bigger, better furnished, more room amenities, fantastic view of woods, stream, and animals in pasture. Great basic breakfast (free), located near Manchester but not in the middle of it (quiet at night, no traffic/people noise). He spent the entire trip going to the river at the back of the hotel to the pool. It was delightful. The grounds are lovely. The place, although old, is exceptionally clean and cared for. It's close to town and if you don't want to go to town there are several restaurants within walking distance. I loved our stay and would go back in a second.
